With the rise of the Blu-Ray and the steady downfall of the DVD, Samsung still backs up the DVD format by producing attractive internal and external drives. The Samsung SE-T084 is very well designed with its small form factor, sleek design, and quick connectivity. The strongest selling point of the Sparkle GeForce 9800 GTX+ is that it stays cool and quiet at all times, which coupled with an integrated HDMI port makes it a good fit for an HTPC. Today we will be reviewing Xigmates’ AIO S80DP Liquid cooling solution. This product is like no other - it combines the advantages of liquid cooling and put it into a form factor of a standard air cooled unit. It is one of the only succeful thermal solutions I have seen, which eliminates the “mess†of water-cooling, but performs to almost the same level. Xigmatek - AIO S80DP - Review @ D3 Reaction Reviews

The LanCool Metal Boned K6 was a pleasant change from the other gaudy, large cases I have reviewed recently. It does not have a window or any other extraneous aesthetic features which serve no real purpose. It is compact, stylish, minimalistic and elegant while still featuring a vast array of features. With a removable motherboard tray, tool-less optical drive bays, and unique hard drive mounting accoutrements, the Metal Boned K6 is not lacking in any sense, especially when considering that these features are usually found in larger cases. It wasn't more than a few months ago that Benchmark Reviews tested the ASUS BC-1205PT Blu-ray Drive, which was proven to be a future-proof asset with the format war recently ended in favor of BD media. But sometimes technology isn't adopted quite as fast as we might think, because in the age of Blu-ray there are people out there who still haven't made the transition into a DVD-burner. Unlike CDs and DVDs, Blu-ray Disc isn't in every household, and since music and movies seem to work perfectly well on the older platforms there might not be any real need for such a premium storage device. In this article, we do away with the benchmark tests and take a subjective look at the ASUS BC-06B1ST ASUS BC-06B1ST Blu-Ray Disc Optical Combo Drive @ Benchmark Reviews - Details

Today we here at D3Reaction will taking a close look at there S1283V Dark Knight Heat-pipe. The S1283 Dark Knight CPU Cooler is a Mid- Tower design budled with a fairly standard but stylish looking 120mm fan. The Dark Knight also uses the same Heatpipe Direct Touch technology common thru-out Xigmatek’s current coolers and so we expect it to perform beyond the performance of that of a normal CPU cooler since the three heatpipes featured in this cooler are in direct touch with the CPU heatspreder. Launched last summer by Intel, the P45 chipset has quickly grown in popularity, replacing the aging P35 chipset. Intended for a mid to upper mainstream consumer base, the P45 chipset boasts some impressive features, such as: full DDR2/DDR3 support, 20 PCI Express 2.0 lanes, ATI Crossfire support, and a 65nm manufacturing process. By now manufacturers have had ample time to design and refine their P45 based motherboards and today Benchmark Reviews takes a look at ASUS' mainstream P45 DDR3 motherboard: the P5Q3. As a twist on our usual motherboard reviews, this article will also shed some light on the growing DDR2 vs DDR3 debate with some hard numbers in the benchmark sections. Arctic Silver 5 has long been hailed as the king of thermal compounds but it seems the king is finally dead. The GELID GC-1 trumps the AS5 in a couple of aspects. Letting the temperatures speak for themselves, the GC-1 does a much better job at conducting heat (or maybe, not impeding it as much). There is a caveat here, however, as the "delta" temperatures were somewhat close. With that said, the GC-1 did have a smaller "delta" between the idle and load temperatures in every test. Lower power consumption and heat output are the least impressive benefits of Solid State Drives. The real payoff is in the practically instant response time and high-performance throughput. Once SSDs could outperform their HDD counterpart, it was all about price and capacity. Adding up to 64MB of Elpida DRAM to the buffer has permanently solved stuttering problems, making raw performance the last bottleneck. An Indilinx 'Barefoot' internal controller commands the bank of Samsung K9HCG08U1M DRAM modules, allowing the OCZ Vertex Series SSD to offer an impressive capacity with unmatched performance. Benchmark Reviews tests the reaction time and bandwidth performance for the OCZSSD2-1VTX120G against over two dozen other products in this article. Click to read more More Articles …
