"If you've ever visited Benchmark Reviews in the past, you've probably noticed that we've tested a large collection of NAS products. At the same time, you might have noticed how many of these products aren't really geared towards home users needing just the basics. That's where the QNAP TS-119 comes in handy. Designed to hold a single SATA drive (HDD or SSD), the TS-119 can deliver all the great features of larger more expensive NAS products. The latest Enterprise-level NAS servers feature iSCSI expansion, RAID redundancy, and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, and surprisingly the TS-119 does these things too, but without the expensive price tag. How can a single-drive NAS offer RAID you ask? In this article Benchmark Reviews takes the QNAP TS-119 through a tough set of p! erformance tests while we outline the Turbo NAS functions and features."

"The last memory reviews on ocinside.de already contained a few references and information about the problem with 4GB RAM memory expansion in Microsoft Windows 32 bit operating systems. Because of the constantly decreasing RAM prices more questions about these memory sizes reach our mailbox and forum. So there is now a seperate workshop guide, which describes the difficulties with larger memory size more exactly. Because sometimes 2 + 2 is 3. Additionally this article contains an operating system list with the maximum supported memory."

"We'll start with what Tuniq has done right. The Ripper 1000W is a good looking unit; clean finish, sleeved cables with matching heatshrink, connectors and fan grill. The unit comes with plenty of molex connectors and the cables have quite a bit of length in them. In terms of performance, the Ripper finds itself placed comfortably in the middle of the pack- while there are better units available, it outperforms plenty others. Still, all around good performance."

"A few weeks ago CoolerMaster introduced their first heat-pipe direct touch cooler; the Hyper TX3 and it performed very well considering the fan size is of the 92mm variety. A 92mm fan is almost considered too small by what other manufactures are shipping in their tower coolers. Being a top tier manufacture, CoolerMaster couldn't just sit idly by and soon released their 120 mm heat pipe direct touch cooler: the Hyper 212 plus. Cooling your CPU is one of the most important areas to keep in mind when you decide to either upgrade or build a computer. Unfortunately there is a trade off between cooling and noise when selecting a cooler. Most coolers today have hit that "happy medium" when it comes to said trade off and CoolerMaster follows suite here with the Hyper 212 Plus. Don't be fooled this cooler is not just a rehash of the previous Hyper 212, but a redesign with added heat pipe direct touch should help keep this cooler somewhere near the top with a price that won't leave your wallet completely empty."

"Overall, I'm impressed with this product. For $30 you get a quality enclosure with USB and eSATA connectivity, all the cables needed to get up and running, and a blue LED base for an added touch of bling. The inclusion of data recovery and antivirus software sweetens the deal even further."

"Prior to our 33-Way Thermal Compound Comparison article published back in March 2008, there had not been another project of its size available online. So when Benchmark Reviews revealed our test results, it was a surprise to find that many overclockers had been ill-informed by marketing hype and misleading enthusiast opinions. Benchmark Reviews later published several other complimentary articles for performance hardware enthusiasts, offering an instructional guide on Thermal Paste Application Methods and testing for the Best CPU Cooler Performance. As the author to both of those articles, I have discovered that the most critical factors pertaining to thermal cooling performance seems to be overlooked. In this massive follow-up article, which was built from entirely new project data taking over one year of research to publish, our collection of test material has grown to include every product we could acquire from the marketplace. Benchmark Reviews has received advice of industry experts, manufacturers, and elite overclockers to bring you this comprehensive 80-Way Thermal Interface Material cooling performance comparison benchmark test."

"Home Theater Personal Computers have been on the rise in recent years but most HTPC cases have a major flaw that makes them inherently tricky to deal with, their size. Some say size doesn't matter, well that may be true for some things in life but when it comes to HTPC's, if it's small it means limited air flow and thus it's cooling capabilities are limited. It also means that you just can't fit a very powerful video card inside of it. Even if you could, a bigger video card means more heat and we all know that heat is the number one enemy of all your computer components. So what if there was such a video card that would not only fit inside of a small form factor HTPC case but one that can perform well enough to meet the demands an HTPC requires all the while keeping it's cool? Sounds impossible? Maybe or maybe not. Here at Benchmark Reviews, you will find a lot of high end video ca! rd reviews just like many other review websites but not everyone is looking for a high end video card. Benchmark Reviews tests the ASUS EN9400GT GeForce 9400GT HDMI video card and puts it through a battery of frame rate tests to see just how well the 9400 GT performs and whether or not it can live up to the requirements of living inside of a HTPC case."

"Cooler Master impressed me with their simple yet elegant D1. By no means is it a flashy notebook cooler with colored LED fans or multiple USB ports requiring a separate AC power supply. They went back to the basics and with a simple tweak of replacing the hard feet with a softer material, I think they would have come up with a huge winner. As it stands, the D1 is still a budget friendly notebook cooler that does the trick of what a 50 dollar cooler would do - keeping your notebook cool."

"With most new product introductions on the market, usually the first generation is a prototype which they then improve on and then release a better product after they have ironed out all the design bugs. But with Cresyn and their CS-HP500, they definitely buck that trend. With exceptional audio and build quality coupled with a foldable design and comfort, the CS-HP500 can easily be summed up as a safe buy for people needing a good set of foldable headphones that won't break the bank."

"Home Theater PCs continue to gain popularity, particularly as more television networks are pushing their content over the web. They're also a great platform for gaming, watching Blu-Ray movies, running a custom DVR, and centralizing media storage. For some of these tasks, a low-power Atom system might be sufficient, but for gaming and processing high definition content, most consumers will want a little more horsepower. That's where a quality HTPC chassis can make a big difference. With room for full-size ATX components, seven hard drives, and five fans, the SilverStone LC10B-E that Benchmark Reviews is covering today should fit the bill."

"Thanks to our friends at ThermalTake we have some first look photos. Due to events unknown to us, the photos are a little late, but better late than never right? I do not have a whole lot of information on the case. Thermaltake says the case should be going into production in late summer or early fall. I have tried to put the photos in the order that I would have taken them. So here we go. BMW and Thermaltake put their heads together and came up with an evolutionary case design. While it is pretty radical, I feel that this is the next stage of case design, but no one can be sure what the future holds in store for case designs."

"The infrared receiver kits had to go without a enclosure so far and it is time to change this. Now there is the new IR box available, where one can insert for example the PCB of the brand-new USB Ultra infrared receiver v2.0, in order to protect the electronic devices and to get a more beautiful construction for the PC or HTPC. Of course it is also possible to integrate different IR receivers into the small black plastic box, this small modding guide is just an example for the latest USB IR solder guide."

The P193, like the P183, is really a sleek looking case that is not flashy and that's a good thing. All of the positives of the P183 are here; cable management, fan speed controls and good cooling. With the two larger 140mm fans in the top and the 200mm Big Boy in the side the gives the P193 a cooling advantage. On top of this you get the added advantage of room for eATX motherboards and full length video cards

Samsung makes the DRAM modules found in nearly all popular SSD products today, with Elpida and Qimonda also adding their name to cache buffer parts. JMicron, Indilinx, and Samsung engineer many of the most well-known SSDs on the market, with OEM companies adding their own branding, custom-tuned firmware, and warranty. The OCZ Summit SATA-II MLC SSD is another such OEM product, built from the PB22-J model that Samsung decided not to ODM and sell themselves. Equipped with the Samsung S3C29RBB01 SSD controller and a 128MB cache buffer, OCZ intends to keep their crown as the King of SSD product offerings with the Summit OCZSSD2-1SUM120G.
