Photos and Features

The eufy Mach V1 Ultra is a cordless all0in-one stick vac with steam with steam. While it is a lot more compact than our traditional vacuum, it is still tall, and getting pictures of the entire thing all in one picture is a bit of a challenge in our photo area which isn’t designed to handle things this tall. It is 1178mm tall or 46.3 inches tall and then has a compact footprint of 278mm or 10.9 inches wide and 254mm or 10 inches deep. The design has a skinny handle up top and it gets wider at the halfway point where it has its water storage up top, the mechanicals in the middle, and the dirt and dirt/water storage down at the bottom. The base then has a roller brush with steam sprayers in the front, water sprayers inside to get the brush wet, a squeegee on the bottom combined with the suction to suck up dirt and water, then at the back a jet dryer to dry what you have done. All together without water inside it weighs 5.7 kilograms or 12.5 pounds. The Mach V1 is available in two designs, the Ultra that we have here and a standard model with the Ultra adding the steam but otherwise they are the same. The design is surprisingly clean looking with silver used on the entire handle, glossy black and tinted plastic for everything up the middle and the base is black with a translucent cover that lets you see the spinning brush.

This is the removable water container which is up at the top of the Mach V1. It is made of a glossy tinted plastic so that you can see how much water you have inside. The front also has the Mach by: eufy branding on it in a reflective finish. It has a handle up on top and behind that, on top, it has a removable plug where you fill it up. It holds up to 820 ml and the max fill line is a little below the top of the container. The water comes out of the top through a hole in the top plug. The bottom does have four contact pins, these power and control the ozone generator inside at the bottom which helps create ozone to keep smells down. This container does come with some moisture inside and I was a little concerned that our unit was used until I saw a warning in the instructions that the Mach V1 is tested at the factory and to expect moisture in this container to be left over.

The second removable container for the Mach V1 is the dirty water storage tank and its capacity is a little less at 720 ml. Even with the smaller capacity it is significantly larger in size, only the bottom of the container is used to store liquid. This has a few other things going on including the filter and a floating separator that helps separate debris from the dirty water. This container has a latch at the top that you have to press down to remove it where the clean water tilts and just latches in place. This one also has two handle holes, the top one has the latch built in. You need to hold both to remove it, grabbing the top one only will have it fall apart. Eufy has printed cleaning instructions on the back that point out that you pull the filter out of the top and clean it off and then you pull the lid to remove the debris separator. From there you can dump the dirty water and throw away any trash. This container has a large hole in the bottom which is where everything comes in and a pipe up the middle on the inside.

With both containers removed you can see that the vacuum sucks from the top of the bottom container and there are another four status LEDs up top there. Down in the bottom the suction connection from the base up into the waste water collection has a thick rubber seal to keep that leak free. The top of the Mach V1 Ultra where the clean water is stored has an extra opening at the back making the water level visible from both sides., You can see where the container latches up at the top as well as the hole that pulls the clean water up into the tesla valve. The water container also hides six different screws holding the Mach V1’s housing together here. Then down at the bottom are the four contact pads as well as the LED status ring around that. The LED ring is the status indicator for the ozone generation and is also used as a warning light when switching to red.

As the saying goes, this is where the action happens. While everything in the handle helps make everything work. All of the actual cleaning goes on down in the base of the Mach V1 Ultra. The base is made of dark grey plastic and has a tinted clear plastic cover that snaps into place on top with magnets. The clear cover sits over top of the multi-surface spinning brush. The brush has soft microfiber line bristles combined with firmer bristles behind those to give extra strength when needed. With the cover off the brush can also be removed quickly with just the one tab on the left side.  The housing has an LED bar across the front edge up under the clear cover as well, this is the steam pressure status bar. There is a small rubber bumper across the front edge then at the back you have two wheels with rubber grips that keep the Mach V1 rolling. Between those there is a gap with large contact pads on both sides, this is where the Mach V1 sits on the dock to recharge. On the underside, two much smaller rollers sit behind the spinning brush. Also in that area directly behind the brush is a squeegee blade. Then up on the front, for the Mach V1 Ultra model you have four steam spray nozzles that spray hot steam to disinfect before the brush scrubs things up behind it.

In between the top of the clean water and the handle at the top of the Mach V1, the rest of the handle does serve a second function beyond just adding to the height to make the handle usable. This is where they have hidden away the floor cleaning solution storage in a small container on the back. You pull from the top and it pulls out and it then has a flap on the back that you can open to fill it up with the included cleaning solution. It has a max fill line printed on it and the front advertises the tesla valve mixing that eufy is using to mix the cleaning solution with the clean water in line. This means you don’t have to premix any solution and the because of the blend you can continue to fill the water up until you use up the cleaning solution. Farther down on the back of the Mach V1, it does have a smile-like shaped opening which blows air out the back to dry up the floor as you are cleaning it. While the main vacuum housing and the dirty water storage aren’t visible on the back like the clean water storage is, eufy did give the back a similar glossy black finish. But I was really surprised that on our Mach V1 at least that this came in scuffed up. This is the main reason I’m not a big fan of glossy plastic in general even though it does help give the Mach V1 a futuristic styling, over time it is going to wear and look bad. In this case, however, ours came in already worn, if I had bought the Mach V1 myself this would have been extremely frustrating.

The handle for the Mach V1 Ultra has a rectangle shape to it with the grip itself being round. It has a trigger on the underside as the main easy-access button. Depending on the mode this steps up into high power mode and for the steam mode is what activates the steam. It is also used in the menus when using the screen built into the top. The LCB display on top has the Mach branding on it and two buttons at the bottom. One is your power button and the other is a menu button. There is also a small switch on the left side of the screen. The switch turns on floor cleaner mode which mixes the floor cleaner with water. Up at the top of the handle under where you would hold it is a large button that runs the post-cleaning brush cleaning mode.
