V-MODA announce the availability of Faders tuned earplugs

1212011bV-MODA, the maker of critically-acclaimed and award-winning headphones including Crossfade LP and Crossfade M-80, is thrilled to announce the availability of Faders tuned earplugs, the first of several protective offerings under Ear Armor, Inc.

"Most earplugs simply sound like you have mud in your ears, even expensive custom-fitted sets costing hundreds of dollars don't have the clarity and highs. Additionally, after DJing for years with custom earplugs, I experienced first-hand that they can cause ear canal problems similar to using Q-tips. Worst of all, these expensive products easily fall out and get lost," says Val Kolton, Chief Visionary Officer and Founder of V-MODA. "Faders are affordable, comfortable, sleek, fit everybody, and most importantly they help protect your hearing while still allowing you to rock out and enjoy concerts, clubs, or any loud event."

1212011Other than a few exceptions laptop ram has been very boring. Noone has really attempted to push the limits in that market, normally just focusing on the desktop market instead. Designed to be plug and play they are giving power users a new way to get the most out of their PC, even when their PC is a laptop ;). Solid State Hybrid Drives will fuel the enterprise

A good read from one of our good friends over at Seagate!
Seagate just announced its latest generation Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD) – the 750GB Momentus XT – which made me pause and think about the potential implications throughout the enterprise. To be clear, the new Momentus XT is a client drive specifically designed for laptops. But with a 70% performance increase over its first generation model, and while also making a significant bump in capacity, there’s a lot of storage power that the Momentus XT can deliver.

Noctua introduces PWM fans

11302011This morning Notcua announced a new series of fans incorporating PWM functionality, something that Noctua fans have lacked in the past. When asked why Noctua, a company who's main focus is on introducing quiet cooling products, is just now getting into the PWM fan market this is what Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO had to say.

"Our customers have been asking us for PWM versions of our fans for a long time, but the available PWM fan driver ICs simply weren't up to our quality standards", explains Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO. "With our NE-FD1, we've now got our custom-designed IC that allows us to build PWM fans that consume less power and remain quieter at low speeds."

With prices ranging from 18.90 to 24.90 USD, they won't be cheap. But I can guarentee they will be of the best quality!

Nvidia GTX 560 Ti with 448 Cores

Today Nvidia launched a new special edition version of their GTX 560 Ti with 448 Cores. Here is an interesting quote from Legit Reviews taken from their review.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti with 448 Cores has proven to be a very interesting graphics card from both a price and performance perspective. This card performs nearly the same as a GeForce GTX 570, but costs significantly less. In some of the games we tested the overclocked MSI N560GTX-448 Power Edition actually performed better than the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 reference design card, which was impressive..

Nvidia outlines 400M-series parts, new mobile bacon grills?

Nvidia provided a press release that documents the "Highlights" of the new 400 mobile series of parts. Apparently, the highlights do not include the TDP of the cards, as these figures were omitted. Apple and HP seem to be abstaining wholly from the 400 series release at this point. Nvidia is claiming the cards should be approximately 40% faster than the 300 series (which was just the 200 series, rebadged). It would be awesome to see the GTX 460/470 in laptops, so long as they can still use the term 'laptop'.
