On Friday Crucial announced the 7mm version of the award-winning Crucial m4 SSD and the Crucial Adrenaline Solid State Cache Solution.

This new m4 SSD meets the needs for slimmer storage devices while delivering the same stellar performance as the standard 9.5mm Crucial m4 SSD. It is available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Note that the 512GB version is one of the highest-capacity storage drives – magnetic or solid state – available on the market for laptops with a 7mm tall drive bay.

The Crucial Adrenaline Solid State Cache Solution, which combines a cost-effective, high-performance SSD with an existing hard drive to enable the best of both worlds: SSD-like performance with the high storage capacity of a hard drive. The new product comprises a 50GB Crucial® m4 SSD, a 3.5" adapter bracket, and caching software. It’s simple, two-step installation is as easy as connecting the SSD to the motherboard with a standard SATA cable followed by installation of the software.

Visited with Gigabyte for their press conference. Meet the Executives portion where we meet the vice presidents of the company and discussed the motherboard market here in the United States and International markets.

Today Gigabyte introduced 5 new boards to a small group of press, including LanOC, and everyone is excited about the previews to upcoming Ivy Bridge compatible boards.

Thermal Solutions specialist GELID Solutions reveals its first tower case of its GAMER product line.

This completely black painted 0.7mm steel ATX / Micro-ATX tower case is designed for gamers and includes a long list of features:

As thermal specialist GELID Solutions certainly offers solid cooling options for this case and provides locations for up to 8 fans. Two silent 120mm fans (rear and front) come preinstalled with the case.

The case even enables to mount a 80mm or 120mm fan with a max. 15mm thickness onto the side panel.

The DarkForce supports a 120mm or 240mm radiator at the bottom of the case and offers 8+1 slots for extra connection of peripheral devices.

Next to the USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and an eSATA port a top I/O with bay for a hotswap 3.5" or 2.5" hard disk or SSD is built in at the top of the case for easier connecting or cloning of hard drives. A 5.25" to 3.5" drive bay converter for any optional 3.5” device is included in the package.

My week was packed so full that I went ahead and meet up with Thermaltake on Press Day. I made the trek up to their Suite to see what they had to offer. When we visited their offices a few months ago we heard about a few of their upcoming products and were excited to see if they would still be coming out.

A little embarrassment from the Intel camp today.

This afternoon I headed over to the Venetian Hotel and Casino with the DSLR and the GoPro in hand for the "Big" news from Big Green! While we weren't expecting any huge news, it is always fun to see what Nvidia has to offer in the coming year. We know about Kepler but with the newest AMD cards hitting the shelves yesterday would Nvidia drop the bomb that the new cards were coming out? 

Well we made it safe and sound, after a half day of flying that is. I will keep this update short as CES hasn't officially started just yet. Alex and I flew into Las Vegas this morning meeting up with Skyler at the airport. After spending a well over an hour traveling and waiting in line for our rental car we were on our way. Our first stop... In-N-Out of course! 

This time tomorrow a few of the LanOC crew will be touching down in Vegas and prepping for CES this year. Our schedules are packed full of meetings with new and old company’s looking to show you guys the newest products in their product lines and products to get excited for in the near future.
