Reviews are again light today as CES 2012 rolls ahead, so naturally the news is dominated with what is coming out of Vegas. The most interesting news that I heard in the last day was that the Thunderbolt spec is rolling out to a wider audience. It is looking like folks are going to get more creative with the potential that specification offers. On Friday Crucial announced the 7mm version of the award-winning Crucial m4 SSD and the Crucial Adrenaline Solid State Cache Solution.
This new m4 SSD meets the needs for slimmer storage devices while delivering the same stellar performance as the standard 9.5mm Crucial m4 SSD. It is available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Note that the 512GB version is one of the highest-capacity storage drives – magnetic or solid state – available on the market for laptops with a 7mm tall drive bay.

Thermal Solutions specialist GELID Solutions reveals its first tower case of its GAMER product line.
This completely black painted 0.7mm steel ATX / Micro-ATX tower case is designed for gamers and includes a long list of features:
As thermal specialist GELID Solutions certainly offers solid cooling options for this case and provides locations for up to 8 fans. Two silent 120mm fans (rear and front) come preinstalled with the case.
The case even enables to mount a 80mm or 120mm fan with a max. 15mm thickness onto the side panel.
The DarkForce supports a 120mm or 240mm radiator at the bottom of the case and offers 8+1 slots for extra connection of peripheral devices.
Next to the USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 and an eSATA port a top I/O with bay for a hotswap 3.5" or 2.5" hard disk or SSD is built in at the top of the case for easier connecting or cloning of hard drives. A 5.25" to 3.5" drive bay converter for any optional 3.5” device is included in the package.

This afternoon I headed over to the Venetian Hotel and Casino with the DSLR and the GoPro in hand for the "Big" news from Big Green! While we weren't expecting any huge news, it is always fun to see what Nvidia has to offer in the coming year. We know about Kepler but with the newest AMD cards hitting the shelves yesterday would Nvidia drop the bomb that the new cards were coming out?

Alex and I flew into Las Vegas this morning meeting up with Skyler at the airport. After spending a well over an hour traveling and waiting in line for our rental car we were on our way. Our first stop... In-N-Out of course!
