After our meeting with Cooler Master Adam ran off to his next meeting at the LVCC and I made my way up to talk with the nice folks at Patriot about what they are working on. Our meeting was informal and quick because I needed to run to eat; my last meal was yesterday before meeting with Gigabyte. Mary over at Patriot was nice enough to give me a cookie and a muffin to hold me off though, thanks Mary!!
Of course the meeting wasn’t just about me getting a snack, Patriot had a few things to show off this year. Their new G2 Series is focused on budget minded enthusiast that are still looking for a nice 1600MHz DDR3, sporting times of 9-9-9-24 at 1.65V. Their Division 2 lineup is specifically for Sandy Bridge motherboards and will be sporting Intel’s certification by the time you see them in stores.
On the flash drive front they have their supersonic USB 3.0 drive with an expected read speed of 100MB/s and a write speed of 70MB/s, available in 32, 64, and 128 versions. On the SSD front they now have the Wildfire, a SATA III 6GBps. They didn’t give to many details on the Wildfire but I would expect it to be running ether the SandForce SF-2582 or the Marvell 9174 and we may see transfer speeds of up to 500MB/s if that is the case.
Patriot was also showing off their Javelin S4 NAS box and PBO Core HD Media player, reaching farther into the enclosure business beyond their Valkyrie.
