howling-800x600_lanocfrontRicky was nice enough to have me over to their suite to show me their new products and returning products for 2011. The more and more I see with boutique builders, the more it’s growing on me. For someone that doesn’t want to go through the hassle of picking out parts, this is the way to go. Plus it’s always good to see what kind of “Monster” computer they can come up with.

Chimera3-3_LanOCStarting off with the Chimera 3 XLC, they took two products and combined them into one. This just about top of the line for a consumer PC. What makes the Chimera 3 XLC really stand out is its paint job, the design is both eye catching and extremely detailed. I know that most people out there can put a PC together but only a handful of people can do painting. I am one of those people that couldn’t paint in kindergarten, so I will leave that up to the talented people over at IBuyPower. Moving around the case, it has more than enough room for HDDs including mounts for SSD’s. If you need a case and need lots of air cooling this NZXT Phantom case is the one for you. The Chimera 3 XLC will also support for 3-way SLi/CrossFireX.

The EREBUS on the other hand is just outta freaking control. Someone over at IBuyPower was having too much fun one night and wanted to see how many “rads” they could put in a case. The end result is EREBUS. This is a mean machine, with 10 120mm radiators inside. The case design was thought up by the masterminds over there and I think that they nailed it. It can accommodate up to 4-way SLi/CrossFireX and E-ATX motherboards. The setup that they had running was a water-cooled 980x with all the water blocks provided by Koolance. The 3-way SLi’ed GTX 580’s were also water-cooled for your overclocking pleasure. If you want the most ridiculous computer to bring to the next LanOC event give them a call.
