Very recently Benchmark Reviews has tested several Solid State Drive products based on the SandForce SF-1222 controller. The specifications for each product were each very similar, if not identical. Throughout all of our benchmark SSD tests the results were also very close, and nothing seemed to stand out until we concentrated in one particular area. The differences were made evident as we experimented with a new benchmark setting for upcoming SSD reviews. Consider these factors when you shop for and compare SandForce-based SSDs, just exactly as it required back when Indilinx firmware updates were changing the landscape

"The GTX 465 from ASUS is a card that delivers good gaming performance up to 1920x1200 with high end settings, but struggles to find that performance for price mark while fitting snugly into the sub $300 market. Overclocking opens up another level of performance that brings the performance for price factor a bit closer to where it should be. So what's the moral of the GTX465 story? Be sure to overclock it to get your moneys worth."

"The new AMD 880G chipset is based on Radeon HD 4250 graphics engine, which is a slower version of the graphics engine used on AMD 890GX (Radeon HD 4290). This way 880G-based motherboards are cheaper than 890GX-based ones. Let's take a look on ASRock 880GXH/USB3, which brings USB 3.0 ports."

"MSI Big Bang XPower is an Intel X58-based socket 1136 motherboard that comes with six PCI Express x16 slots, SATA-600 ports, USB 3.0 ports, military-grade components on the voltage regulator circuit, gazillions of overclocking options and much more. Also it is one of the few motherboards around using an easy-to-remember name instead of a part number formed with several letters and numbers. We honestly hope that MSI and other manufacturers do this more often."

“Say what! Another processor?” Well, yeah, what else are they going to do over at Intel. Someone is always actively looking for good ways of making current generation processors better. Of course, these are just the ones we know about. When they’re not busy launching a processor, they’re busy working on other projects like fine tuning their DP55KG, or DP55WG motherboards. Today, we get to see a tweak in their processors which include a new Core i5-655K and Core i7-875K “K Series” processors. Trickling down some tech from their top end chips (and aiming straight at AMD Black Edition parts) the new processors offer some multiplier unlocking goodness at a more affordable price. Let’s see how they perform!

Thermaltake isn't new to the market. They have a full line of different cases and cooling systems. Today Benchmark reviews will be testing the Thermaltake Element-Q, model VL52021N2U. This chassis belongs to the "Small Form Factor" Line and it's targeted at the Mini-ITX industry. Apart from being the typical mini-case with 220 watts PSU included, what makes this product special against other Mini ITX cases? It supports full 5.25" optical drives and two 3.5" full sized HDDs. Compared to many other Mini-ITX cases; this can be an advantage over other products making your new purchase a lot cheaper. It also supports a full-height PCI card, which means you can install your Audio or Video card and enhance your HTPC experience. Read our full review to verify if the Element-Q suits to your needs

It is odd to see an OCZ power supply unit priced as if it's a bottom of the barrel type power supply, but here we have it, the ModXStream Pro 500W available for about $60 dollars holds quite well against the bigger, more expensive players out there. The unit stayed well within defined ATX specifications and given the price, the ModXStream Pro is definitely an attractive unit worth considering.

"The new AMD 880G chipset is based on Radeon HD 4250 graphics engine, which is a slower version of the graphics engine used on AMD 890GX (Radeon HD 4290). This way 880G-based motherboards are cheaper than 890GX-based ones. AMD 880G chipset is normally paired with AMD SB710 south bridge chip, but on A88GM Deluxe the manufacturer decided to use SB850, which is the south bridge chip from AMD 890GX, providing native support for SATA-600 ports. This way A88GM Deluxe is one step above other motherboards based on the same chipset."
