Apple may have succeeded in appeasing iPhone 4 users with free cases, but it could have a new problem on its hands. Right before Steve Jobs began talking this morning, TR forum regular Forge posted a rather worrying story about his iPad charging cord melting while the device was sitting on his nightstand—and the iPad itself becoming hot enough to cause him to drop and break it.

While the Thermaltake SpinQ VT CPU cooler may not be capable of extreme cooling, it performs very ell when compared to other high performance air coolers; and it looks really cool while doing it. Another plus is that it doesn't create much noise at all, and even at high speed it was barely audible over the other components in the test system.

"As an overclocked card, I did not expect much headroom to be left but Palit usually leaves a bit in the tank for the enthusiast. When I used the available tools to overclock this card, I was able to pull another 106MHz from the core/shader clocks and another 56MHz on the GDDR5 memory for increased bandwidth. Each of these clock speed bumps netted measurable performance increases across the tested games. Something well worth the effort and time."

Today we're taking a look at their recent release, the Midgard White Knight, a snowy coloured chassis that has quite a fresh clean look. Let's check it out. "

TRENDnet have developed one of the first 450Mbit model routers, with the code name TEW-691GR. From the performed tests, we cannot see ultra high speed on Wireless 300Mbit devices, but the manufacturer claims that when having 450Mbit adapters, the situation changes completely. A firmware update will also be available later to enhance the performance with 300Mbit adapters and the Wired speed was the best I have seen throughout all the routers I have tested in the past.

It's nice to see the C300 from Crucial is on the cutting edge of performance and technology. They use their own NAND and RAM in this unit, combine it with a great SATA 6Gbps capable controller from Marvell and let the good times roll. It has blistering read speeds and while the write speeds aren't the fastest on the planet when it comes to consecutive writes, the random 4K writes are really fast and this drive maintains great performance levels across all file sizes. . .
