HX_Genesis_angled_GrayEveryone knows what to expect from Kingston: a continual improvement in all things RAM and anything memory related. At CES 2011 there is no change in the trend. Coming out with an impressive line of DDR3 RAM is the HyperX Genesis2, coming to you in an elegant grey and soon after launch the standard Genesis blue we are all accustomed to. HyperX is Intel XMP certified and P67 ready, and will be offered in 4GB 2x2GB kits at 2133MHz and 1600MHz frequencies. The only difference in looks is the loss of the tabs on the top portion of the RAM, which I think all would agree is an improvement on the overall appearance of the RAM. By the end of February, expect to see a full line of HyperX in all the key consumer markets from High Performance to Low-Voltage.

Zotac Came out guns blazing with the Motherboard-H67-ITX WiFi. This H67 mini-ITX board has USB 3.0, SATA 6, Dual Band Wi-fi/Wireless N, and is the first H67 of this form factor to release on the Sandy Bridge platform. Pair that up with the Zotac 3DKey display on an Nvidia 460 and toss the potential of the H67 on 4 monitors.·

Zalman was particularly interesting at CES 2011, and I'm going to direct that mainly toward the intense enthusiasm of Edward Ren. If you by chance didn't care about how Quiet Fan Cooling worked, spend one minute with Edward and I guarantee a change of heart. The latest and greatest CPU cooling will no doubt in my mind be the CNPS11x Extreme. This V-shaped dual heat-sink will blow your mind with a Q-Max of 350 watts and is shipped with Zalman's ZM-STG2 Thermal Paste, and is promised to fit all processor sockets. Moving down from the high-end cooling power comes the CNPS7x and an entry-level price point cooler CNPS5x SZ, which is fully outfitted with a new toolless mounting bracket system.·

There would be no better place to put these luxurious and quiet Zalman coolers than in a Zalman Case. First up is the introduction to the Z9 and the Z9 Plus. Theses coolers are completely black in and out and at a price point of around $80. Featuring removable, dish washer safe dust filters which I, and I would assume anyone that loves their PC and furry/hairy house pets, would see as a necessity. Enough room to fit a 290mm GPU, the Z9 Plus comes with a thermal sensor and fan speed control. The Zalman GS1200 case was love at first sight for me. Two fan flip doors line the front which is also access to your 6 Hot Swap drives. Complete this with a 200mm fan on the top and side, and 1 in the rear and 2 in the front 120mm fans. Anodized aluminum side panels. There are also dust filters on all entry points and has 350mm of space for those ever growing GPU's. USB 3.0 ready and another hot swap finish at the top of the case.

3D is always a tricky subject from person to person. Some say its great and other haven't yet embraced the future. Zalman introducing the Trimon 3D Monitor at CES 2011. It's passive, and for those that don't know the simple version is that means there are no batteries and flickering screen and is based on the same technology that IMAX theaters use. It has the widest viewing angle of all polorized monitors, and no Ghost imaging. Full 1080p and in 21.5" and 24" versions are available. Zalman has two different passive glasses: the standard and the flip type for people with glases. Due to demand they will also be releasing Medical, Profesional and Filming series. Two High Def inputs for the Medical and Filming series are included for on the fly imaging.·

Now, lets download a Blu-Ray movie to a Zalman 200GB HDD External Enclosure and Plug that into an HTPC and low and behold what happens? It is regestired as a Blu-ray Player and you can instantly watch the movie. Now that is great thinking. The product line will feature 100, 200, and 250GB external enclosures using USB 3.0. Unfotunately the 100GB enclosure will not come with that software, but the product innovation of Zalman is mind blowing none the less.
