titleshuttleIt’s no secret that over the past year and a half I have grown to love shuttle PC’s for putting together portable gaming rigs for LAN parties. What can I say, I love those little boxes. They may not be the most powerful rigs but when paired with a quad core and a decent video card they can play just about anything you throw at them. I didn’t schedule a meeting with our friends over at Shuttle but I did make a point to sneak over to see what to expect in the coming year.

The big news from the shuttle camp is Sandy Bridge. Considering that they use their own shuttle form factor for motherboards I was a little surprised to see they were showing off their H67 model based on an upcoming H3 model. Considering the performance we saw in our Sandy Bridge coverage I’m very excited to see what kind of performance you could expect from a correctly optioned shuttle. Let’s hope we can get our hands on one to put it to the test.

The other good news is the return of the very popular H7 series. Thanks to a lot of interest from gamers Shuttle has decided to put the H7 back into action. Although it’s not new it’s great to hear that gamers have influenced them enough to change their product line, keep up the good fight guys.

You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. Wes's obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing League of Legends, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. A car guy at heart, the same things that draw him into tweaking cars apply when building good looking fast computers. If you are interested in writing for Wes here at LanOC you can reach out to him directly using our contact form.
