100_3819_lanocfront_watermarkMeeting with Nyko this year was almost de ja vu, returning to the Hilton Casino and Hotel, to about the same (if not exactly the same) suite number. The display of Kinect and Move peripherals in addition to the new Xbox 360 design brought me back to today however, greeted again by a buffet offer that I missed, having caught a quick meal a half hour before. Indeed, just like last year.

Nyko had each of the big three console peripherals on display, both released and newly announced products. The Nintedo Wii table was home to the wand induction charges, as well as the new Perfect Shot Pro, the successor to the immensely popular Perfect Shot. The updated version includes a soft-grip rubber coating as well as a vibration feedback.

The PlayStation 3 showcase was next, demonstrating it's version of the Perfect Shot using the Move motion wand. Force feedback is also included on this model, but requires two AA batteries. The Power Shot is also a new product, the two-handed rifle version that holds both the Motion Wand and the Navigation Controller. It also features a rotating grip handle and an extendable stock.

Finally, the Xbox 360 accessories featured a bit of a new design on the base charger, which is more aesthetic and also feature a front-panel USB. Also hidden is an LED indicator that remains hidden until a charge level is sensed for the controller.

The familiar Intercooler has also seen some revamping for the new slim models, placing the exhaust vent on the side, or top if the system is flat, as opposed to blowing out of the back. This reduces the hot air being blown back and gathering when used in an entertainment stand or other enclosed area, and runs off USB as opposed to the power supply of the 360.

A few additional Kinect accessories, such as an extension USB cable, were also shown, as well as a banner showing off Nyko's new packaging design.
