Asus P8P67 EVO

titleBeing a car guy when I first saw the P8P67 EVO from Asus I couldn’t help connect the EVO name with a Mitsubishi Evo. I can’t imagine that Asus would somehow manage to get the boxy styling and sharp lines of the Lancer Evo, but maybe it has the raw power that the Evo is known for. Either way, I know that by the end of this review I will be drifting sideways in DIRT 2 ether way. Before that I will go over ASUS’s standard P67 product lineup and the P8P67 EVO’s feature set. While we are in there we will also test its performance and take a close look at the include software.

MSI P67A-GD80

titleAt the start of this year we helped introduce Sandy Bridge along with coverage on 5 different LGA1155 motherboards. One of those boards was MSI’s P67A-GD65, one of their 16 different P67 motherboards that are currently available. We found the UEFI BIOS, easy overclocking support, and low price point to be great and gave it both our Top Honors and Editors Choice awards. Today we are going to take a look at their P67A-GD80, the GD65’s bigger brother. With a similar feature set I have high hopes.

Gigabyte P67A-UD4

frontGigabyte surprised a lot of people recently when a few previews of their upcoming P67 motherboards showed a change in PCB color from the blue they have been known for to a flat black. Some of their models including the H67 that we tested earlier will still sport the Blue PCB but the P67A-UD4 that we also received sports the stealth look along with redesigned heatsink’s to match. We expect to see the performance Gigabyte is known for but we are curious to see what else they have up their sleeve with the first P67 motherboard we have seen from them.

Gigabyte X58A-UD5

titleWith X58 motherboards ranging in price from just over $150 to a crazy $600, it can be daunting to find a nice mix of features and quality without breaking the bank. Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3

titleWhen it comes to motherboards, they really do come in every shape and size. With high performance gaming motherboards, generally you have to get a full ATX motherboard to get a wide selection of features. Micro ATX is a little smaller but not small enough for true portability. That’s where Mini-ITX comes into play. Most of the Mini-ITX boards on the market use the older 775 socket and have a limited number of features. Today we have the opportunity to take a look at Gigabytes H55N-USB3, their first Mini-ITX board. With my recent obsession with small form factor gaming rigs, you will have to forgive my excitement to check this out.
