Overall and FV

Fractal Design made a name for themselves with the original Define and they have continued to somehow manage to find ways to improve on the design 3 more times up to the R4 that we have here today. The styling of the case hasn’t changed much really, but what is their to change. Fractal prides themselves on cases that have a clean styling and the Define R4 fits that perfectly. It does remind me of the Antec P series of cases, but once you see it up close its easy to see the differences. Notice btw that I said SEE the differences, you are just plain not going to hear the Define R4. They set the bar for sound deadening, to the point where the side panels are the heaviest side panels I have ever see on a case. This leads me to the only real complaint I have about the Define R4, its weight. At 27 pounds empty, its a porker. But I would happily deal with a little back pain when you consider this is why the case is so quiet. The most impressive thing though is the Define R4’s price point. At less than $110 they have priced this case in the range of just about anyone. If you have to have a side panel window, they are also offering a model with one . Considering the good wire management and attention to detail inside I don’t blame people for wanting to show off the inside of their Define R4.

You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. Wes's obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing League of Legends, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. A car guy at heart, the same things that draw him into tweaking cars apply when building good looking fast computers.
