AMD has released several lower end cpu´s on to the market to compete with Intel. We are going to look at the Athlon 2 X2 245 cpu that sells for about 50$ which is one of the cheapest cpu´s on the market. We have decided to compare it in some tests vs a Intel 6300 cpu that has the same cache and clock speed.

The Ultra Products X4 1200W PSU is a beast in a small package.  This PSU comes equipped with one massive 85A +12v rail and supports 6 PCIe devices - 3x 6-pin and 3x 8-pin.  It is completely modular and features a nice large fan that provides very good cooling to this unit under normal circumstances.  When pulling 1000W through this unit some components hit 70°C as measured with an IR Thermal probe, but we experienced no stability issues. . .

After many hours of testing, the Seasonic S12D 750W power supply proved itself to be a pretty solid unit. It even bested a popular 80 Plus certified PC Power & Cooling brand unit rated for the same total power.
