This morning Notcua announced a new series of fans incorporating PWM functionality, something that Noctua fans have lacked in the past. When asked why Noctua, a company who's main focus is on introducing quiet cooling products, is just now getting into the PWM fan market this is what Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO had to say.
"Our customers have been asking us for PWM versions of our fans for a long time, but the available PWM fan driver ICs simply weren't up to our quality standards", explains Mag. Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO. "With our NE-FD1, we've now got our custom-designed IC that allows us to build PWM fans that consume less power and remain quieter at low speeds."
With prices ranging from 18.90 to 24.90 USD, they won't be cheap. But I can guarentee they will be of the best quality!
