It's been a while since i've seen a good give-away on this site. Maybe you could figure a system to trade points for raffle tickets each month or give away gift certificates towards purchases from Garfi3ld's for sale post, or maybe even an item :-)
Might keep people interested in posting more on the site, not that i have a problem finding stuff to say.

We are planning on having more site givaways. We stopped doing them because of a lack of interest from most people. If it required more than just making a post no one was willing to be involved..

I only think I've seen maybe one or two actually LanOC-specific contests since I've been here.

I'd love to get involved in some more contests if any came up, even if it was for something little.

Something else I think would be neat is if LanOC hosted an awards ceremony and gave titles to people or images to stick in their sigs, like "Most Valuable Poster" or "Most Spam in '09" or something. I'd be proud to wear a LanOC award in my sig around at other forums. Might raise awareness for the site!

Even a Random Box of Stuff would be a good prize. I still use about 25% of the old box that i got for coming up with a good slogan for the website...
Might i suggest giving me one anyway since i brought up doing shirts, and also the "stuff?" thread? :woohoo:

I still remember when Mason won the arcade contest and got a box of random stuff. I wasn't actually familiar with the site, but he shared his caffeine chocolates and mints with me in IT class and told me the wonders that is LanOC.

I got a few Chuck Noris wall calendar's that i gave away to friends for christmas! They were awesome! I also took the Caffeine gum/mints i got to the next few LAN parties i went to. I still have an air intake installed in my PC from the box!

I recall a fan Mason got in his box, mounted anywhere in your case and could be pointed at anything. Funny little thing that looked like a flower.

That's crazy... just having a raffle with people who posted that they want in is no fun. It has to be a contest! Winner take all! All that fun stuff.

If there was like, a hide-and-seek thing (much like NCIX does), that could be cool. Search the site for hidden links, get points, and win prizes sorta thing. [/$0.02]

I agree, we have tried a few things including a scavenger hunt. I think 4 people joined into that one. I have been planning on bringing them back, I just don't have the stockpile of giveaway prizes right now that I used too. I need to pick up a company or two that is willing to donate.

I have been talking to a few though
