It's the Perils of Summer Sale. They're trying to get everyone to stay inside this year. It's too dangerous outside, after all. The list of stuff on sale is huge. Yeah I saw all of these this morning, some crazy deals going on getting complete publish packs for almost the price of one game at retail. I'm thinking of Borderlands but I'm not sure if it is any good.

It's really fun if you have 2 or 3 others to play it with and commit to only playing at the same time so nobody gets leveled up too much with their guy.
