Does this even interest anyone anymore? I was excited about it when the latest Battlefield was Battlefield: Heroes. There was no such thing as Bad Company 2, so there was an itch that needed scratching. After all this wait, I don't really want it that much. BC2 is scratching the itch just fine. Why do we need it now? It's interesting in the fact that it's only $15, but who wants to buy it from the EA store? I won't even consider it until it's on Steam. Even then if it doesn't give the ability to setup local dedicated servers, forget it.

I will wait to get it on steam, but it looks like a much improved version of the first one, which is still one of my favorite games,

As with the rest of you, waiting for it to be on Steam.

If it's not on Steam and it's not a Blizzard game, no buy, easy as that!

Might buy it. Battlefield used to be all about the vehicle combat before they tried to be Call of Duty's equal as a fps. 1942 is/was the best of the series. Spent many hours on that and DC.

I was always a fan of 2142. If they make a sequel to that game, I will be a very happy gamer.

The only maps you get are Iwo Jima, Coral Sea and Guadalcanal. I bought this thing a long time ago on the PS3 and totally forgot about the PC version until I saw people saying it was out and then EA saying it wasn't ready yet and it was an accident or something. For 15 bucks it isn't bad you get that oldschool BF feeling unlike Bad Company 2 but it still is lacking the total BF package.

Don't even get Midway which was a 1942 classic and the Japanese Assault class has the same M1 Garand as the US soldiers which is kind of amusing.
