Smart Phone was created by vialdragon
I'm Looking for a new Smart Phone, with Verizon. My contract isn't up until November but I've been looking quite frequently for the next big thing. I'm Leaning Heavily toward HTC. HTC Scorpion to be exact. But now I'm Hearing rumor that before the End of this year ( 2010 ) Motorola is going to put out a 2Ghz Smart Phone. Also I don't remember the name of it but there is rumored to be a dual core 800Mhz phone released this Year.

I guess my delema is Motorola vs HTC I've heard alot of phone junkeys talk smack about Motoblur wondering if you guys thought this should be something I should weigh in.

But you can scrap everything I said and just try to argue for the phone you would want on the verizon network so that I can weigh my options.

Thanks to all.

htc is nicer than moto in most cases. Althought the Droid x is going to be really nice. Honestly if your up in November I would look about a month before to see whats upcoming. Things change so quickly now on the android phones

Very, very true. Anything you get will be basically obsolete in six months with how fast Android phones are advancing right now. :(

I agree, Verizon is ridiculously slow with their firmware updates.

I know this topic is a little old, but I would like to chime in if you havent gotten your new smart phone yet.

I would recommend the HTC unit. I had an HTC phone, AT&T called it the Tilt. It was great! Even with WinMo6.0

Im actually looking into this right now as well. So when things get all settled. I was looking at the HTC HD2. So call me whatever you want, I like WinMo. I am also considering waiting for WPS7 to hit the market this winter to see what handsets are available then.

All I can say is HTC all the way. Loving my EVO now that I have the Vent app for it. Sprint has been really good about the updates. Also, the EVO had a FPS cap of 30. They said that it can't be fixed even with a firmware update. Low and behold EVO's got a firmware update that increased the FPS to 60. Made a huge difference.
