Anyone realize that they are trying to be like Bing with the annoying backgrounds? My wife and I are not fans, what do you think about it?

If your #1, why try to immulate #2. Anyone tried bing to see if it truly is better than Google? I don't use it only because i don't think Microsoft needs any more money. Plus google does good things for technology in general, instead of just sharing the profits with their shareholders

Both will generally display different results but I think Bing actually goes through and filters things a little better then Google's where they just put whoever pays the most at the top even though it really isn't relevant to your search.

I did read on Digg some while back that Bing actually offers more porn then Google does which I thought was hilarious.

I'm actually starting to get tired of Google as a company in general with their whole idea of saving peoples information, the Google street van documenting people's home wireless information, and just the whole idea that they just want to do it all.

If SKYNet is to actually go live I have no doubt that it will be Google dooming all of mankind.

I've actually been on the page and the entire background changed, not just the word Google that has changed in the past. There is even an option to select your own background. It's at the bottom left of the home page...

I think he's talking about iGoogle. Personally I have vanilla google as my homepage and I always think everything is very tasteful, even when they do a theme for an anniversary or something.

I can only get Google to change the background in IE8 and Firefox, since I only use Opera the option to change the background doesn't exist for me so I have standard issue Google.
