I will say this. Give it a chance. Treyarch has made good COD games in the past. Now I know that the COD series is on the way out but I will still give this one a chance. Hopefully Crysis 2 will be out around this time also.

Ha ha, didn't you all just buy COD 4 MW2? Guess the designers need new private jets! Poney up your $50 for another COD game!

two different companys design the games, its Activision who is trying to milk the franchise. I only really get into Infinity Ward games, but with all the issues going on I will be now following respawn entertainment.

none, black Ops was deveoloped by Treyarch not Infinity Ward. They use two companys so they can put out a new game each year (because it takes them two years to make each game), one Modern and one WW2 style.

Plus there's a difference between developers (designers) and publishers. The former are the type that can get let go at a moment's notice and denied royalties, the latter the type in which you're referring too. This is also why we all shuddered at Bobby Kotick getting his hands on the MW franchise.

I'm taking a simple approach to this one. If it has dedicated servers and LAN play, I'll buy it. If not, I won't. Simple as that.

Fine by me. There's a lot to be said for listening to your customers, and the companies that do will sell games. I'll bet the games Respawn makes will have dedis.

The only COD game I ever bought was the original Modern Warfare. It was expensive enough at the time, and while the single-player was great, I was left unsatisfied in many other areas by the length of the...there were things that bothered me. :huh:

MW2 and W@W were fun, but I was unimpressed. Maybe Black Ops will give me a new perspective on the franchise.
