ARRRGHHHHH!!!!

OK i have the worlds crappiest cable internet.
I have a download limit at any given time of 650mb so if i download morethan that in a 4 hour period i get throttled.

So ive been copying my games from work and moving them home.

So i bought L4d2 and did this.. But! somehow my files got corrupt on the copy and now i cant install it! now i have to go the whole weekend without my new game!!!

For some reason there was a file xfer limit via the usb device i was using. so i setup a share on the network..

But when i tried to restore the backup ( yes i use the utility) it wouldnt work.

It seems that the backup utility wants you to use the same steam client to restore as to create.
At work i use the normal steam cleint at home i use the beta

So when i set the beta back to normal the restore is now working.

Just be glad to have some cable internet. I can't use steam at all really from home, without long waits, and updates are nearly impossible.

I did get League of Legends to work, but I can only seem to do 1v1 against a bot, since any other setup disconnects after enough time. Too much data transferring.

i am essentially FORCED to go through my apartment complex for thier internet.
It is "possible" to get DSL from verizon but when i tried to get it signed up i had such a horrible time getting them to actually do it i cancelled the order.

THe internet here is oversaturated and they know it. They assure me that theyre going to be adding another T1 and a OC3 later this summer..

Ill believe it when i see it.
