It seems a good part of their developers are leaving to make a new company.

Good for them!

I think this is a good signal to the industry..

I was listening to a podcast that had a really good discussion on the relationship between producers/developers. The way he put it, look at Hollywood. The guy who directed Avatar is hauled around on a golden throne and treated like royalty.

A game studio, who literally created THE LARGEST MEDIA EVENT OF ALL TIME, gets treated like this. Its not very encouraging to any developer.

They were definetly fed a hollow carrot.. " come work for us itll be great"

then

" now that youre here were going to change what you do so that its unrecognizable"

It really is no surprise that this is happening..

www.lanoc.org/forum/21-game-talk-/2284-iw-vs-activision

We've had some discussion on this before, this latest developments from G4TV being that at least 12 former IW employees have joined the two leading exec's new developing studio Respawn Entertainment, and that 38 IW employees and ex-employees have filed suit against Activision over Modern Warfare 2.

Definitely watching this one close

I like this quote from Activision's Dan Amrich: "the more people that leave, the bigger the bonus gets for the people who stay."

They actually jumped ship back to where they started under EA before leaving EA and starting IW when they used to be known as 2015, Inc. Here's to hoping that a new "proper" Medal of Honor is created and restores the original vision of gameplay that the team originally hard with the first 2 Call of Duties.

You think thats going to hurt them in court? Part of the Activision's allegations against them are breach of contract in dealing with EA.

I'm hoping they talked to lawyers before they did anything anyhow. Im glad to see that IW is taking a hit from this. In the end all of the talent will be gone, they will be left with the Modern Warfare name

On a similar note, did anyone else see that Bungie has signed with Activision for a 10 year contract developing a new IP?
