MW2 Stimulus Package was created by Lersar
"An early listing of the Modern Warfare 2 "Stimulus Package" on the Xbox Live Marketplace web site reveals it is comprised of five maps, two of them old favorites from the first Modern Warfare.

The Stimulus Package isn't due out until March 30 on the Xbox 360 (dates for the PC and PS3 versions are still TBA). Here's the description from its Xbox Live listing, which was live as of 3 p.m. U.S. Mountain Time."

I've about had it with platform-exclusive DLC.

Even if it does come to PC, it'll be paid DLC. Fuck that.

A stimulus package doesn't do you any good if you don't have money to buy MW2!

Did you guys see where they were talking about making the next CoD a subscription game? I'm posting quick, don't have time to find the article...

I sincerely doubt I'll be buying the next game in the series.

A monthly fee, that's something they could get away with on a counsul, but i don't think PC gamers would stand for it!
Speaking of FPS's has anyone heard of ARMA II? My friend at work is gaga over it, just wondering if anyone else has tried it. I think you get the demo on steam to try it out.

Seems like CoD is intent on killing FPS for PC, as far as I can see. And even online-only games like Warhawk and MAG on console are still not subscription-based. I'm playing some of the oldest, free-est games on PC, and enjoying it. I personally do not plan to buy MW2, until maybe it drops down in price to a reasonable amount. I bought CoD4 back at release for $60, and it was good, but I just don't feel the same interest for MW2. And if they even mention subscriptions, I say no. If they do online-only, subscription-based, and no dedicated LAN, I think they will alienate most PC players. Tag some paid-DLC-at-release in, and they may as well not even release it on PC.

Well if you play over Xbox Live, you're already paying a subscription fee. And yeah, personally I'm not thrilled with where Activision Blizzard is heading with a lot of games, leaving out LAN options, pushing out semi-annual repackaged sequels, and charging subscriptions.

But I think PC has a lot of other challenges ahead of it, one of the biggest being DRM.

Lol assuming you have an Xbox, and pay for Live. I've heard of people getting around Live prices, no clue how though.

Good point though. Xbox Live charges, and I can't think of any games that are Online-only for it, off the top of my head. Yet, PSN is free, and they have Warhawk and MAG. ;) Interesting.

Oh and DRM is icky. No DRM should be the 11th Commandment. See my post on Grim Dawn

Microsoft is apparently trying to patent a 'special method' of getting players to buy DLC. This is basically it:

You: Here's an invite to this game!
Friend: Don't have that map...
Xbox: Would you like to buy it?
Friend: Yes?
*Starts download*

And they want to patent this unique, totally original way of marketing DLC.

One concern they expressed on Kotaku: Let's say the DLC is big, like an expansion. Are you going to have to wait for your friend to download it all? Probably not. The solution: putting locked extras on disks that purchased codes unlock.

I'm sorry but this just keeps getting dumber and dumber...what happened to the good old days when you just had to buy the game once? I mean all these expansion and stim packs are just giving me a headache
They think we're made of money or something haha I can't keep buying maps and expansions to be able to keep playing with my friends...
