Its been a long time sence I've had time to overclock my rig. I had some free time tonight so I played around a little bit on my rig. The i7 930 and that water cooling was begging for a little bump
A few tweaks and I had it up to 4.2 but running a little hot. I adjusted things down to a nice even 4.0 and it runs cool enough, even while running through on Prime95
and a 3dmark vantage score of 18793 with no overclock on the GPU
What did you use to overclock your CPU with? BIOS or software? If BIOS, what motherboard? (Image in your post just loaded, Gigabyte EX5 8-UD4P?)
Also, what temps are you running idle and load?

I have changed the CPU to the x980 and its currently running at a slow 4.0. Its more than capable of much more, including the 4.4 that I had it at at one point.
I guess it does what I need, albeit a bit slow anymore.
