Good use of birthday money?

So my mom sent me a check for $100, for my birthday. This is the first thing that came to mind to blow the money on. Anyone have any other ideas? I suppose I could do the mature thing and save it for a "rainy day". Nahh, why start being mature now.

I don't even think my mom would say save it.

I would go with the SSD. Gonna be a huge improvement. Also OCZ is said to be gaining 20% more space with their new firmware.

Hey Wingless, do you keep the pagefile on the SSD or on another drive? I have 4gb ram. Some say that haveing pagefile on the SSD is hard on it. Some say that the life of the drive is long enough to not matter since you'll have upgraded before you ever wear it out.

I have it on the SSD Nacelle. Shouldn't be a problem with wearing out the drive.

Of all the luck. If I had bought it a day later, I would have gotten back another $10 on the rebate. :(

If you say something to a newegg rep you may get that 10 bucks reimbursed

This is true, their reps are usually very helpful.

But it's a $20 rebate vs a $10 one. I'm not sure newegg would have anything to do with that.

I have seen them do it all of the time. Just jump in the chat, and explain that you bought it the day before the other deal. 75% of the time they will credit you back the difference just to make sure you are happy.

Although there service hasnt been as good recently
