It seems that the iPad stands alone..

Both the MS Courier

HP states that poor windows 7 performance was a deciding issue...

Maybe they in part took their Que from Microsoft?

I don't expect Slate to be dead for long with the acquisition of Palm. I bet HP'll throw out a tablet with web-os in the distant future.

I was thinking the same thing, now that would be a cool product. It may also help bring WebOS back

Tablets have been around for a while.
Sure Apple has some amazing hardware, proprietary as it may be, but there are better products.

I advise anyone in the market for a tablet to do research on the specifications of each model and upcoming ones. Apple has a good product, no doubt, but you might be impressed by the near-silent competition.
