100 degrees Celsius is a bit much for a proc temp. Basically it's just too small of a machine, and too big of a processor. I always wondered how those Macs dissipated heat, since there seem to be no fans. Apparently they don't really.

So, what are some temps you've seen in your systems, with the fan on of course?

Before I start posting numbers are we going Fahrenheit or Celsius?

If it matters, I prefer Celsius.

Mbp's have 2 fans in them since inception, see teardown pic: www.electronista.com/articles/10/04/16/a...mbp.graphics.switch/

The C2D models are hot -- I have one and can't keep it on my lap when I do any type of game playing. I don't know off the top of my head what the tdp difference is between an i7 proc and the 2.8c2d, but I'd imagine they're pretty similar. I'll find out in a couple of months. :)

edit: If the guy's list here is right, the i7 2.66 chip has the same exact TDP as the 2.8c2d.

So nothing really new.
