This looks like it could take a turn for the worse.

AMD has always been good for Intel. They have pushed them to release new products ahead of schedule, pushed for lower prices and kept the CPU war going on.

It was great for us consumers!

With Bulldozer out and not doing very well AMD has pretty much shut down the high end CPU strategy. They know they can't beat Intel and that is not good.

If you saw the leaked roadmap for Intel SB-E was at the top of the list until Q1 2013. That is not good. We need innovation, and with AMD pulling out of the high end CPU business it's pretty much over.

That sucks!

We need AMD to keep making chips so Intel will lower their prices and keep coming up with new and exciting ideas. That goes for both companies. They need each other.

Just sad to see AMD not being able to go after Intel anymore.

Ivy Bridge is already getting pushed back since Sandy Bridge did so well. Now they are going to sit on Ivy Bridge until they feel like releasing it. Total Anti-Consumer.

I just hope that somewhere down the road AMD really sticks it to Intel and blows them out of the water in a generation of CPU's.

Competition is good for everyone.

/Friday afternoon rant, lol.

Sb-e better be at the top for atleast a year, lol. Each socket should last two years.
