Great, now i have to change my pants, i may have blown a load.

Question, how does it work with the rug as a chair mat? is that carpet underneath or tile? we're currently lookin for a solution so we don't tear up the carpet anymore B)

The rug works great as a chair mat. I've had this rug for about 10 years. I really didn't want to have a mat cause of all the noise and it's easier to move the chair around on it. I wanted to have to push the chair not be sliding around on a mat.

I too need a rug or something where my chair is. We have hardwood (floors), and the chair over time tears it up. Especially when its very old like in my house.
