"The A50 that we are going to be looking at in this review uses a tower style design with three tick copper heatpipes connected to an aluminum finned array. It does come with a relatively smaller cooling area than the A70 and only one fan, so the A50 is more a replacement for a stock cooler than an all out overclocking machine. Still, the cooler uses a tried and true design to offer the best cooling possible for those on a budget."

" The core was overclocked nearly 6% over reference 5770 speeds, and only 2% on the memory side. Without effort, 970 MHz core and 1360 MHz memory was easy to attain using only ATI Overdrive setting clock rates and fan speed. The gains equate to 8% more speed on the core from factory clocks and 11% more on the memory - not bad at all. Temperatures peaked in the high seventies, but often were in the sixties, especially with direct fan control. The automated profile is targeted more for silence, although even with temperatures into the seventies, the video card is plenty safe to operate."

Most liquid cooling users are a very eclectic bunch. The system configurations can range from cooling just the CPU to everything in between, from GPU to even hard drives. While liquid cooling the CPU is by far the most popular, it’s GPUs like the ATI HD 59xx and NVidia GTX 4xx products that signal the need for more aggressive cooling. That’s where Coolit System’s latest Omni A.L.C. GPU cooler can help. We saw it at CES 2010 up close, and now we’re going to get personal with it.

Overall, I like the Viewsonic VA2323wm 23" widescreen LCD monitor very much. The picture quality is excellent and this refurbished model is in such great condition that it could pass for new. The 23" screen was an upgrade from my precious 20" monitor, and while it may sound silly to say, that extra 3" really does make a difference.
