Midweek Madness:
Half-Life Episode 2 is on sale for the low low price of $1.99. This is just a quick blast cause we all know and love these games. If you don't own this on Steam, now is the time to pick it up.
Monday Night Combat:
This is the game that is going to be a staple at LanOC LAN's now. I know that we have a thread that Garf3ld started about getting people into a 4 pack deal. MNC was a huge hit at 7.5 and will be played at 8.0 here in April. Please, if you need this game please post up in the thread and we will do our best to pull more people in to get a better price on each game.
Left Field:

Gonna try something new out here for a couple of weeks and see how it goes, welcome to Left Field. Sometimes, gaming news goes beyond just just the same old stuff. Need to roll out some new sections and see how it goes. Most of you know me so you know that I can be way out in Left Field at times, so here we go.
Thanks for everyone that came out to the Mini LAN 7.5! From the sound of things, a great time was had by all. The internet thing did suck but we worked around it and mowed through it. When heading out to our LAN or any LAN make sure you read what you need to bring. I'm not knocking on anyone but having the right stuff makes things so much easier. There is a reason that the admin's put a list of stuff up.
I know that we have a couple of LanOC'ers coming down for LAN War at IU. I will make a seperate thread about meeting times and what you need/bring. Look for this in the coming week.
How about those Android tablets? The Motorola XOOM is looking good but over at Engadget they posted Big Red's aka Verizon's pricing. Who in their right mind wants to pay $20 for a gigabyte of data? These things need to be in the $300-$500 range. For that price you can get a nice laptop and still play games on it. Once the price comes down then i'll start looking. Until then i'm happy with my little Acer laptop for portability.
Windows 7 SP1 is out. If you are rocking Windows 7 hit up Windows Update in the Control Panel and update now. Just remember that you'll have to reboot after it's done, simple enough.
Venturing into even the more bizzare, Minecraft is coming to mobile platforms this year. We do know that iOS will be getting it but Android is a bit sketchy at this point. I have heard both yes and no so I will leave it up to you and pray. Will you pay for mobile Minecraft? I probably would, I bought the game on PC cause anyone that builds a game in their basement that attracts this much attention is doing something right. Lets just hope that you don't need 2.3 Gingerbread to run it.
Bulletstorm, I have to hate on this game for bit here. Why in hell would Epic use Games For Windows Live on Bulletstorm? Steam is like Xbox Live on PC. All of your friends are there and the interface is easy to use. One other thing that makes me mad is that there is no demo out yet. From Mark Rein's Twitter account he said that a demo will be out after the game ship's date. Put the demo out before the game ships. That way we can play it and see if we like it. Now, we have to wait for the demo then make our decision. Stupid idea in my opinion.
Have a good week everyone, Wingless is out!
Gonna try to end with a question each week from now on. This week's question is "What game are you looking forward to?"
That would be Crysis 2
