NVIDIA's latest GPU is codenamed GF100, and is the first graphics processor based on the Fermi architecture. In this article, Benchmark Reviews explains the technical architecture behind NVIDIA's GF100 graphics processor and offers an insight into upcoming Fermi-based GeForce video cards. For those who are not familiar, NVIDIA's GF100 GPU is their first graphics processor to support DirectX-11 hardware features such as tessellation and DirectCompute, while also adding heavy particle and turbulence effects. The GF100 GPU is also the successor to the GT200 graphics processor, which launched in the GeForce GTX 280 video card. NVIDIA has since redefined their focus, and GF100 proves a dedication towards next generation gaming effects such as raytracing, order-independent transp! arency, and fluid simulations. Rest assured, the new GF100 GPU is more powerful than the GT200 could ever be, and early results indicate a Fermi-based video card delivers far more than twice the gaming performance over a GeForce GTX-280.

Some Socket AM3 motherboards with AMD 7xx chipset were already tested at ocinside.de and today the Sapphire PI-AM3RS785G is overclocked and tested. The micro ATX motherboard is based on the AMD 785G chipset with SB710 southbridge and it has a HD4200 onBoard graphics unit with 128MB sideport memory. This combination was already very powerful in previously tested AMD 785G standard ATX boards. In the current review we will see if the Sapphire micro ATX motherboard performance is also impressive and if it is recommendable for example to build a HTPC.

Today AMD announced the availability of their Radeon HD 5670 Series. HIS has chosen to design a custom PCB and uses an Arctic Cooling thermal solution to keep their card cool. Even though it uses an active fan, the card is easily one of the quietest cards on the market, underlining its potential media PC use.

In July 2009, NVIDIA began the transition to a 40nm manufacturing technology with two new models destined for the low end market: the GeForce GT 210 and GT 220. They were actually never destined to be sold as full retail cards but as the market has developed, NVIDIA now has full retail version of both of them.   The basic model (GT 210) has the “gt218” GPU which has 16 “CUDA cores”; a 64-bits interface; 512MB GDDR2 memory; 1 D-Sub, 1 DVI and 1 HDMI exit. The reference model runs on the following frequencies: 589MHz, 1402MHz and 790MHz (GPU/Shader/Memory). It replaces the old 9400 GT in NVIDIAS lineup.   The NVIDIA GT 220 reference card is based upon the “GT216” GPU which has 48 “CUDA cores”; a 128-bits interface; 1024MB GDDR3 memory; 1 D-Sub; 1 DVI and 1 HDMI exit. Review of ZOTAC GeForce GT 220 1GB GDDR3

In this review we will be looking at a brand new card from Sapphire called the HD5670. As the name suggests the card is based on the ATI Radeon HD 5670 GPU and supports many of the features found in 5000 including Eyefinity and Crossfire.

ATI has released their latest DirectX 11 card so today we are taking a look at a 5670 that we recieved from ATI for testing, we are going to run it with both some DirectX10 and 11 tests and also see how it does in various benchmark programs, so stick around.
