While the HAF X is what we would call a pre-modded case there are still plenty of modding opportunities available. Some of these modifications are fairly simple such as watercooling installs, fan swaps, and custom paint, while others may require more work

The Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P50R is a mid-size tower with a sleek black exterior, and some serious red highlights. Taking advantage of the full aluminum construction, Lian Li lets a bucket of red anodizing die loose on the interior, and the result is stunning. The case also comes outfitted with four red LED fans that enhance the AMD theme. Lian Li has never been shy about dressing up its signature products, and they've produced some of the most original and striking PC gaming cases that I can remember. Special attention has been focused on the tool-free features of the case, and the case is lightweight to make it suitable for LAN parties. Many features aid in getting a full gaming system built or reconfigured quickly and cable management is simple, yet effective. Benchmark Reviews is pleased to review this special AMD Dragon edition of the Lian Li PC-P50 series.

"Cooler Master also did a very good job with the new additions and in my opinion, one of the best is the new hot swap bays. These new bays allow for easy installation of two SSDs or HDDs thought the front bezel. When connected, the drives are actually attached directly to the motherboard via the circuit board, so there is no reduction in performance when using your hard drive via the bays."

The RADEON HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 video card from XFX comes bundled with one of the few games that support the newest DirectX11, Aliens vs Predator. The card also comes with enough documentation so anyone could install the video card in their computer and start playing right away. The board's performance approaches that of last generation high end HD 4890 card and offers enough FPS in almost all older and recent games, even with higher quality settings.

All things considered, I really like the Zalman MS1000-HS2. Even being a mid-tower case, it has a lot of room to work with. Installation is very easy. The case has a lot of extra features like the hot-swappable drive bays. In terms of cooling, there are enough fans to provide satisfactory performance at a low noise level. A removable motherboard tray would be nice but not necessary.

"Muskin's decision to use the SandForce SF-1200 controller in its new SSD line has really turned out to be a good call. With this controller, you will not only get a drive that is capable of 285MB/sec read and 275MB/sec write speeds, but one that gives some of the best small write performance available for a consumer-based SSD. This allowed the Callisto drive to stay on par with, or ahead of, the INDILINX Barefoot controller throughout the read performance test, but it also allowed the Callisto to absolutely dominate the other drives when it came to write performance."
