Robot Zombie Apocalypse Puts Facebook Friends into the Action

Atlanta, GA – July 12, 2011 – RageGage, LLC, the leading manufacturer of rage-release devices, is electrified to announce the launch Robot Zombie Apocalypse, a first-of-a-kind free online game designed for use with the RageGage USB game controller.

As the name implies, Robot Zombie Apocalypse is set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by Robot Zombies – Facebook friends that have been “zombie-fied’ and enslaved inside robots. Players pilot a helicopter using keyboard arrows and blast Robot Zombies with a RageGage-powered cannon. For players who are not connected to Facebook (or don’t have any friends), Robot Zombie Apocalypse imports in pictures of fun-to-smash celebrities like Charlie Sheen and Snooki.

Players press or smash hard on a RageGage to control the energy of the cannon and use weapons like Mega-Rages, which instantly zap all enemies on the field. But blasting Robot Zombies is just part of the challenge – players must then rescue their freed friends without accidentally blasting them (unless they wanted to blast them). The game can be played with just a keyboard, but using a RageGage allows players to shoot larger cannon shots, use weapon upgrades, and unlock new levels.

“Robot Zombie Apocalypse is groundbreaking since it is the first online game designed to be used with a specialized USB gaming controller – the RageGage,” says RageGage inventor Ian Campbell. “We plan on releasing many new games with a ‘physical dimension’ for our online gaming platform as we also expand our pressure sensitive game controller hardware line.”

Robot Zombie Apocalypse, developed in partnership with Toolbox No. 9, an Atlanta-based game developer, extends the RageGage game line, which also includes Aliens, a game the company premiered at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. Set against a Las Vegas sunset, Aliens pits players armed with a RageGage powered tank against incoming alien hordes, the nastiest of which are piloted by technology luminaries like Steve Ballmer (who pilots a Vista® powered spacecraft that locks up occasionally), Steve Jobs (who flies around in an iPad® that shoots iPhones®), and Mark Zuckerberg®.

RageGage Connect, a PC software application available for free from the company’s website, is required to play online games like Robot Zombie Apocalypse with a RageGage. The company plans to release a Mac version of RageGage Connect this summer.

RageGage has a program for game developers who would like to make Flash and Microsoft XNA games for RageGage. For more information, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
