I'm an AMD CPU fan boy, so it hits home a little harder. This also affects all of you whom love the AMD/ATI Graphics cards.

This is the second cut this year, hopefully they will be able to turn it around.

Ya, I think I am going to have to really look at Nvidia when go to upgrade video cards next time. Lucky that is happening to soon for me.

I have always used AMD CPUs so this makes me a little sad. I hope AMD bounces back. I have a 1090T x6 and a 6950 2GB in my current system,

I kill CPU's

I have never had any issues with AMD hardware. The price / performance ratio always seems to be market appropriate. Their biggest problem is image...and Catalyst drivers. I have a more favorable impression of Nvidia GPU drivers over ATI. My laptop is AMD Fusion and gets the job done. My desktops have always had Intel CPU's, and I seem to bounce back and forth between ATI and Nvidia graphics depending on who has the best bang for the buck during the build time frame. I certainly do not want to see them fail. Intel and Nvidia need a serious competitor to keep them honest.

I've got that 1090T too. I hope they bounce back as well. And as the other post says, keeping intel honest is a good thing and competition to help keep prices in check. I wouldnt want to see any regulatory things going on with the FTC and either of them. Just causes everyone a headache. Wish their were 3 mainstream chip makers sometimes. Prices would be even better for us gamers.. Like the old Cyrix days.

I can't say I have an amd cpu but my video card is a 6950 2gig like plague's video card. I have not had ANY problems with it. I still don't see where people are having problems with them. Though I did have a minor driver bug they fixed in a week where hdmi sound would drop if the pc went to sleep. Other than that no problems. I will stick with ATI/AMD for my graphics.

On a side note Nvidia bought out 3dfx who had the best AA on the market and never used it.

Article says they are cutting their workforce of 12000 by 15% which would be 1800 jobs cut not 12000
