Not sure how reliable the source is, but it was posted today, and after reading through a bunch of forums about Kepler and Southern Islands, it just may be true!
The 6000 series cards were just awesome. It's the driver/updates that suck over on the AMD side. It seems that game dev's stick with Nvidia most of the time, key word "Most".
That's being said, I can't wait to see the new cards. I am going to buy one? Hell no. Am I going to buy the high end Nvidia card? Hell no. My dual 580's work great and I am not going to swap them out for a couple years yet. Just not worth the price IMO.
The forum I was reading that pointed me to this post, was commenting on how the low end Kepler parts should start arriving in mobile form near the end of Q1, and then the real stuff showing up Q3-Q4.

With the release of the Radeon HD 7000 series right around the corner (though new reports put the HD 7970 around Dec. 22), we are getting more details on the new series thanks to information trickled onto the web.
I have 4 or 5 in our affiliate email right now. I will post all of the reviews up tomorrow morning. Expect to see ours around CES time, because of the changed launch date sample availability was jacked up.
