Anyone know of a freeware for monitoring which program is accessing your hard drive? I did a clean install last week because I got a new board, and for what seemed like 5 minutes, probably 3 or so, the hard drive just continued to flash. I uninstalled the Norton Security Suite (not a fan of this version of it) and didnt have any programs going, screen saver wasnt up. Only possibility I know is the Asus AI Suite II. But this would be a first that i've seen it do this?

Win 7 also defrags in the background when you are not doing anything... so that could be it. I remember Vista taking up to 20ish minutes before it would settle down and stop mashing the HDD, 7 is much better, but Im sure its a case by case situation. Could also be setting a restore point as well...
