I have Corsair in the Main rig and Kingston Hyper X in the LanBox. I have had a lot of problems with Corsair lately.

I like the Gskill Ripjaws. They have great reviews on Newegg.

Those are the ones I showed you yesterday...

You can never go wrong with Crucial either...

I ordered 2 Gb sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws- F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL thats the item number. It had something like 588 positive reviews. Seemed almost a perfect history on newegg.

People had success with this mem on the board I mentioned, but it seems that this new chipset is still practically beta to Nvidia. Which I suppose I should understand it just was released around June. :( I wonder if I should have waited a bit longer? Alas I just couldnt. You guys know the feeling.

I will say this on Asus ROG boards.

You do pay more but I think that with the features that you get it is worth it. That is a high price for a AMD board IMO. But I paid almost double that for my X58 Rampage III.

Then again, I just bought the MSI board for LanBox and love it.

If you want really high end, ROG is the way to go. The Gigabyte Sniper,Guerrilla boards are also right up there.

It is expensive, I paid 270.00 for the Crosshair II that included tax and shipping from newegg, back in Dec 08 before Christmas when I'd have thought stuff was on sale.

I shopped around 2-3 weeks watching for prices on this and found it on Superbiiz.com for 220 plus free shipping, newegg from 240.00 plus shipping, others were either a little higher or about the same as new egg. Some on Ebay wanted 295.00 and that one didnt include the Extreme edition with the dedicated LAN CPU (named Killer something?)

Those Killer NIC's IMO are not worth it. But to each their own.

Can't wait to see the board at the LAN.

Got the beautiful board yesterday, enjoying reading the manual. That's about it till it's memory gets here from newegg. Shouldnt have chosen the eggsaver shipping I guess. Ordered on Sunday morning, says I'll get it next Sunday morning USPS. lol. I'd give it till Saturday, then obviously its not here till Monday. I think I should have just chosen the 3 day UPS shipping for 5.99. instead of the free shipping.

Gonna be cutting it close, I've got to RMA the board to the place I just bought it for another new one. the onboard intel nic is DOA. Doesnt like up at all, doesnt show up in Windows, no lights when you plug in an ethernet jack.

I just hope I get everything up and running for lan oc 9. other wise I guess i'm rolling it back to the old board for just 2 days, which to me is crazy. I'm going to be so P.O.d if they dont do rush shipping for me.
