Its always sad to see a LAN come to and end, but as we awoke Saturday morning, there was still plenty of time to game before it was time to pack up and drive home. In relation to the previous days, we slept in a little, ignoring alarms and scoring a nine o'clock wake time. We quickly made our way to the building to find little change; it was still packed with gamers, the some of which were going strong after twenty-four hours of gaming. Not to be out done, we jumped on our PC's and got ready to game.

Day two saw more free time gaming, once again featuring titles such as Modern Warfare and Day of Defeat Source. At one point, the staff of StompFest challenged any takers to a game of the latter for some prizes. The ports for Bad Company 2 and Modern Warfare 2 were also opened, after which countless frags took place. I attempted to get in the action, and as a result finally found the limits of my two-year-old graphics card.

The raffle still held a few cards, and so I was hopeful; in reality, just the possibility of winning something is enough for me. StompFest isn't your cut-and-dry pull tickets for every prizes though. Just as many, if not more, prizes were given away for activites, such as a dance off and tug-of-war contest, that a few of the patrons from LanOC ended up the victors of. Be sure to ask Wingless if it was worth it though, if he manages to hobble to v6.0 this weekend. The rope was made of tied Ethernet cables, and the stress of six large men pulling on both ends was just too much, sending both parties flying with plenty of suveniors.

One item up for grabs in the raffle was a very nice custom StompFest case done by MNPCTech. Sending us home for more than we bargained for was apparently in the cards, as Wes was the lucky one to take it home. Several other LanOC members made out well, including DaveYo who won a microATX board, as well as the title of shoe toss champion.

People began to pack a little early, and it caught on with just about everyone. What we thought was going to be around six came about three hours early. A final raffle did take place, though it went on for quite a while due to an absence of ticket holders and the crowd's inability to guess someone's weight. A safe game of musical chairs was also played, if you didn't catch the sarcasm the first time please feel free to read this sentence again. Put a bunch of competitive gamers against one another in a physical ploy for prizes and the outcome will most likely be blood. Against all odds, everyone survived.

After playing a fun variation of Tetris with our computers in the back Cory's car, we were finally ready to head home. With our gaming quota full for the moment and newfound TomTom language skills, we are heading home for Ohio City. Cross your fingers, Wes is riding shotgun again.
