It’s been a few days now and not only have I set all of the PCs around the house back up, I also took the time to do detail cleaning around my desk. Even after a few days I feel little tired, an impromptu nap that went until 3pm yesterday helped some but it’s going to be a little while before I’m back to normal. All of it means we had another successful LAN. Of course the work doesn’t stop on Sunday for me, but before I get too far into it I wanted to post up a little bit of a roundup. Read on to hear more about it.

Good Times had by all

Here are a couple highlights that I wanted to point out from the LAN though.

First thing first, the excitement during some of our raffles was impressive. Here is Berb caught in the act of running up to claim his prize!

We had a few extra activities for everyone to do, here was our old school tournament as well as the poker tournament. Poker even sent a few bucks back into the LAN as well! We also had the finals from the LoL tournament up on the projector as well.

I think most of you even made it by the Sapphire table and spoke with Ed as well. I also saw him walking around the room chatting with people as well.

It wouldn’t be a LAN without breakfast a well, TwoDaves was at it again putting together breakfast for everyone.

Lots of storage was to be had, you can see Draymac giving CrazyBillyBob looks here and if I’m not mistaken the look of frustration from Ryan looks like BillyBob just finished screaming STORAGE.

I put together a last minute LanOC Veteran contest to see who still has the most LanOC nametags and shirts. We had a tie between Shroud and JJSky500. Even more impressive was there were a few people who still had their sticky name badges even!

At the end of every event I’m just blown away at the long list of people I need to thank. If it wasn’t for our sponsors, dedicated staff, and all of the volunteers who give up their time before and after the LAN  we wouldn’t have such an amazing event.

As was pointed out on the forums, our network was rock solid this time around. A big thank you to Gaston for his time at the LAN as well as the time he spends working on the configuration and working with me months and months ahead of each of our events. Gaston was even able to get away from the network a little throughout the event, a sign of how good things were going!

To the staff in general who kept so busy at the event that I actually don’t have a photo of them. These are people who basically give up their good time at the LAN so that everyone else can have a good time. Remember that before you get upset about something at the next LAN you go to.
