For years now I have been a huge fan of Noctua products, especially their fans. I will admit though, it took me a while to get used to the odd brown colors that they use. After a while I came to the conclusion that it was worth having fans that didn’t necessarily go with my builds because their performance is amazing. Recently Noctua finally introduced two new fan product lines that feature two new color schemes that most likely will fit a little better with most builds while still being unique enough to still stand out as Noctua fans. Today I will be checking out their IndustrialPPC and Redux fan lines. IndustrialPPC is black with a dark brown and Redux are light grey with a dark grey. We know how well Noctua fans perform so today I will mostly just be showing off the new color schemes. Enjoy!

IndustrialPPC
To start things off, let’s take a look at the industrialPPC’s. For some reason Noctua went a little conservative with this line. They are only available in 120mm and 140mm options, but each size has four different variations. IndustrialPPC fans come in high RPM models all the way up to 3000 RPM. They have three phase motors, fiberglass reinforced fan blades, and even water and dust protection in a few of the fans. If it isn’t obvious, they didn’t just recolor these fans to black and call it a day. They really did design fans for industrial use; they just took that opportunity to put out a black fan to also please some of the enthusiasts looking for black fans to math their builds. The industrialPPC’s clearly improve on the quality of Noctua’s fans (who ever thought this was possible) so they are a little more expensive than standard Noctua fans. You still get a 6 year warranty that all Noctua fans have, just in this case they can last that long in a more rugged environment.

redux
The redux lineup is a lot more varied than the industrialPPC’s. This lineup includes fans in 80, 92, 120, and 140mm sizes. These aren’t designed for industrial use so there aren’t any special motors, fan blade materials, or dust protection. That doesn’t mean they aren’t great fans. These are the same fans that people love in the standard Noctua lineups, the only difference is these are all light and dark grey. Noctua skipped out on some of the accessories that you will normally see with their fans and none of the redux fans even have rubber mounting pads. All of those things translate to cheaper fans. I for one welcome this, picking up a whole set of Noctua fans for your PC really add up. The redux fans are actually priced lower than a lot of the higher end fans. Other than the loss of a few accessories you are still getting a top of the line fan. On top of that I think the grey on grey look is amazing. Seriously the only downside I have is they don’t currently make a replacement fan for any of my NH-L9i’s in the redux color scheme. You can still use a NF-B9 redux-1600 PWM but the additional thickness just doesn’t work with some ITX builds.

Accessory Sets
It might have been a foot note in the press release but Noctua did slip in one of the accessory sets that they also launched at the same time as the IndustrialPPC and redux fan lines. The accessory sets aren’t glamorous, but they do come in handy. So what are they? Well there are a couple variations but they are sets of different fan extension cables, Y adapters, and low noise adapters. These are all things that come with all of Noctua’s standard fans but don’t come with the new fan lines. This way you don’t have to buy additional fans for a few cables or adapters. Each of the various sets comes with three cables or adapters. Rather than send one of each they just sent over a set of Low-Noise Adapters, no worries I have a whole collection of Noctua accessories already, I run their fans in nearly every build I have.
