Computex was all of last week. Interested in hearing about upcoming product releases and seeing pictures of the amazing displays I spent most of the week digging for anything I could find from some of our main sponsors. Noctua send us a few pictures and some information on there display at Computex. Click to check out the pictures and see the upcoming products.

Some of the upcoming products and current products all together

New CPU coolers for Dual Xeon: Coming with their new SecuFirm2™ mounting system for socket 771 and sporting a new fin-design that enables users to create a wind tunnel on dual CPU setups, the NH-U12DX and NH-U9DX are completely tailor-made for Dual Xeon. Both coolers should be available in July.

They presented a prototype of thier upcoming top-of-the-line retail CPU cooler: codename 'Sandwich'. The alpha stadium dummy sample on display doesn't show the confidential core feature of the cooler yet, but it will give you a basic idea of the cooler's 6 heat-pipe design. The cooler will already come with their new SecuFirm2™ mounting system for socket 1366 and is currently scheduled for a Q4 2008 release as well.

They showed off a prototype of their new SecuFirm2™ mounting system for Intel's new socket 1366 (Nehalem/Bloomfield): The new mounting kit is designed for maximum security and convenience and will be backwards compatible with all Noctua CPU coolers since 2005. All users of Noctua CPU coolers will be able to obtain the kit either for free or at a very low service charge (to be determined) upon presenting a proof of purchase (scan or photo of the invoice).

Lastly, Im very happy to be able to show a prototype of a new, further refined version of their signature NF-S12 fan, which attracted quite a lot of attention. By increasing the length of the fan blades at the leading edges and adding the beveled blade tips they first used for their NF-B9 fan, they have managed to achieve improved airflow and static pressure at the same noise level. The NF-S12B is currently scheduled for a Q4 2008 release. I find it very interesting that they are going to make sure you can use your older cpu heat sinks on the newest cpu's without having to upgrade. Just more proof that they are a company who cares about there customers!
