titleI found the time to stop and check out the Asus suite at Trump Tower while running around Las Vegas. JJ from Asus was kind enough to take me around even though I’m fairly sure I interrupted his lunch time. He showed off their current lineup and some of the products we can look forward to in 2012.

Asus was showing off a few products from their networking lineup. Some people may not even know that they manufacture routers and adapters but Asus has a full line up. During our tour JJ showed us their current top of the line router along with a new dual band router that will be coming out soon. They also showed off an odd looking wireless to Ethernet adapter.

As far as sound devices Asus introduced the ThunderFX, an external headphone amplifier/sound card. The ThunderFX is designed to work with your pc or video game consoles. With different audio profiles and a smart tuning equalizer this could be the perfect sound solution for anyone who needs a little flexibility.

There was no sign of Ivy Bridge motherboards but they did have their lineup of X79 boards including the Rampage IV board that we recently reviewed.

A new software feature for all ROG members is the ROG Exchange. Think of it as a social network for overclocking. Once you log in you can download and upload motherboard BIOS configuration files. The software lets you browse other people’s configurations and download the configs you like. This is great for someone who doesn’t know how to get the best out of their ROG setup.

Here is a good look at competition for EVGA’s SR-X. This board will support future XEON 2011 socket CPU’s and should be a monster!

The VA278Q monitor is expected to come out in Q2 this year with a resolution of 2560x1440 in a 27 inch display. The price should be much better than all of the 30 inch models on the market.

You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. Wes's obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing League of Legends, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. A car guy at heart, the same things that draw him into tweaking cars apply when building good looking fast computers. If you are interested in writing for Wes here at LanOC you can reach out to him directly using our contact form.
