titleIt was only a few months ago that we visited Kingston so I wasn’t expecting to see very much new stuff from our visit to their suite this year. Surprisingly I was very wrong; they had a few nice displays and a few cool interesting products from different parts of their product lineup to show off.

The first display they were showing off was a Photoshop benchmark they put together to show off the speed of their 2400MHz DDR3 Quad channel kit. We have the same kit here at the office for testing and it’s an impressive kit. The Macro photography they were using was interesting and slightly gross all at the same time, just how I like it!

Next they gave me a peak at a upcoming heatspreader design for their Hyper X lineup and a look at a limited edition kit that will come in a nice red color. I couldn’t help but make a joke about how that heatspreader in red looks a lot like past Crucial kits, but ether way it’s still very cool!

The next demo was packed with 64 gigs of ram. To put it all to use they were using Adobe After Effects and loading a 1080p video file preview over and over. A close look at the task manager shows a whopping 58.3 Gigs of actual memory usage!

This Danger Den case was packed with all of the different versions of Kingston’s SSD lineup including their Hyper X SSD and even the small MSATA model in the top left corner.

Their USB flash drive lineup now has a sweet Hyper X drive. With the Hyper X name you have to expect the best performance, this drive is 64 gigs and running over USB 3.0!

I was equally amazed by the Asus Zenbook along with their new DataTraveler SE9 in all stainless steel. Talk about a match made in heaven. The USB drive still runs on the USB 2.0 interface but makes up for its lack of speed in convenience. This thumb drive can go right on your key ring and stay with you wherever you go.

They had another thumb drive that is no larger than one of the wireless dongles for a small laptop mouse. The side is small enough that you shouldn’t have to even unplug it from your laptop. If you do you risk losing it!

You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. Wes's obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing League of Legends, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. A car guy at heart, the same things that draw him into tweaking cars apply when building good looking fast computers.
