Over at PCGAMER they pointed out that 4.7 million watched MLG Spring Championship, breaking records from previous events and showing that eSports are still growing. I myself , and I know Adam would agree, would love to see a high quality 24 hour stream of different esports. Something I could turn on at any point in the day and just watch without having to dig around to find out what is playing at that time or looking up previous events or games.

eSports are exploding in popularity right now. While previous years have seen significant growth, the Anaheim event proves that eSports command a large and fast-growing audience. The year-end totals from MLG should be fascinating.

You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. Wes's obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing League of Legends, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. A car guy at heart, the same things that draw him into tweaking cars apply when building good looking fast computers. If you are interested in writing for Wes here at LanOC you can reach out to him directly using our contact form.

Extremely interested. I am a huge advocate of e-sports, I love watching streams, reading about players and teams, etc. Its really exciting to see numbers like this. I really wish there was a channel like ESPN or something that covered these things in a standard way. Its hard to keep track, oh IPL is this weekend, I have to go to this website, find the schedule, convert the times, and then MLG is that weekend, find the website, find the schedule, and then there are events that you just happen to catch by chance, IronSquid, invitationals, or qualifiers that I'd still love to watch.

I'd settle even for a website that tracks that.

A 24 hour stream would be a great start. When live events aren't playing they could play past events and sometimes even shows. Much like ESPN.

Be the change you wanna see int he world. Why don't you start tracking everything you find and put it on a seperate section on LANOC.org.

Wes has already got the advertising set up, the users coming to the site. With a little advertising (via facebook, twitter, and other LAN forums) i'm sure we could get traffic to the site high enough to make it worth your time and effor to figure all the times out and get them posted...

If it's profitable, you could even start your own www site for it. like: E-sportsguide.com

who knows, it could turn into a Day job if it made enough money!

Let me know when it goes live, i'll help spread the word and frequent the site also! I'm at a stage in life that if i want something, why not just do it myself and make the money from the idea, instead of waiting for someone else to do it? Heck I'm sure ESPN was a pipe dream, but from someone with the ambition to actually do something about it.

Let me know how i can help Adam!

P.S. Sorry to Hijack the thread ;)

As much as I would LOVE to do this, the last thing I need is another project. I'm already sacrificing sleep for free time. But who knows, I'm finishing my Bachelor's degree soon, if I get tired of having more than 20 minutes to myself a day I may attempt something.

Thanks for the encouragement though, its good to see I'm not alone.

Edit: Okay, let's say I was interested in doing something like this. If I start a thread, would you guys be up to helping me compile a list of the different tournaments and events?

Watching Dreamhack right now, along with some recent tournaments. I've found it pretty entertaining, but I do have say it could use some more polish. Seen too many casters changing settings and focusing on random things instead of the real action, but it's improving as it gets closer to finals.
