Not sure what situations you're having. I only plug in two power cables and they don't interfere with each other. Plus it's $40...

I've never had a problem, even a Quakecon, and they confiscate any additional power strips that are brought into the LAN area...

I think he is referring to this for the provided power, especially since we color code which outlets you are supposed to plug your provided strip into anyway.
