Blizzard finally announced the launch date for Diablo 3 for those of you who have been waiting for years. May 15th is the day. Be sure to go ahead and put in for your vacation time now. Until then you can even pre-order on battle.net if you would like

May 15: The day I play all my games solo, as all my friends will be absorbed.

I've been working further through Hellgate London in my spare time, and despite some rough edges, it did a lot of innovative things for the genre. Squad based RTS mission blew my mind.

I gotta check out Grim Dawn, they will probably wait until the rage has expired before trying to compete in the genre.

Much as i wanna pre-order this game, I got reservations that its not going to be great and its going to feel or be a console port.

I am waiting till I can at least see the beta or see the game after release before buying.

Been burnt on too many games lately that were sequals and sucked.

I'm excited about it even though I don't play Diablo games. BUT I'm also a little disappointed that it seems to be getting pushed out, pre-Activision Blizzard would have never done that.

This is the first game since Skyrim I will be paying full price for. :laugh:

Super psyched for this game! I hope its polished even if it looks like its being pushed out. To me the wait was worth it for Starcraft 2 so I hope diablo is the same way! :)

For the record, the phrase 'pushed out' refers to them not having PvP ready at launch.

There are some solo/multi player elements they axed at the last minute as well. So yeah I completly feel this game has been pushed out and will not be a completed porduct or full of isseues etc. but if its a PC game and not a console port then it should be at least a decent game I am hoping. I just so hope they didnt make this a console port like so many games are now a days.

I don't think they have anything to port from in this case. Unless I missed a big D3 is going to console announcement

I'm... not really sure where the idea of a console port came from.

I'm aware some features were cut from the beta, but nothing that wasn't intentional.

They announced a few months back that it would be released on console but would release on PC 1st then console later.

Right-o. Not to mention if there was any sign of that sort of thing beta participants would be raising all holy hell. D3 suffering because of a port is just a ridiculous idea to me.

Either way, as long as they support the game without additional purchases, I have no worries whatsoever. Maybe I'm just used to that sort of thing, one of my favorite studios is Bethesda. :P
