I have no idea what the starting pay would be. That's not something the company usually releases as it can vary depending on who's applying for the job and their qualifications...

Best of Luck. Michael is a pretty cool guy. And if you got an interview, you obviously qualify! I actually work in the same building, so maybe i'll see you come in. Although i don't really remember what you look like, Reaper needs to have another FW LAN! :-)

If you need any IAB backround, i've been here since it was created. I know your supposed to prep for an interview and know a little about the company. I should be on steam a little tonight if you wanna ask anything.

Pretty sure it was to Technobear, seeing as he'd be leaving his old desk if he got the new job.

Ahhh, I wish I had found this topic sooner. This is exactly the sort of job I've been looking for! I sent in an email, but given that Mr. Technobear already has an interview, he probably has a much better shot than I do :P

You never know if Technobear is just looking to see what else is out there. I say you send in your resume and see what happens. every interview you do you'll get better at it, send in your resume and don't sell yourself short. He might be overqualified or he might not be offered enough money to move jobs .

Can do! If this gets filled and anything else comes up though, I would love to know about it. My brother's moving to Fort Wayne soon and I might consider doing the same if I can get a decent IT job over there.

Well this is the first time they've added to the IT staff since i've been here, so i doubt anything else would come up here. but as a community of friends who share a common interest in computers and gaming, i'd hope that others would post items like this in the area to help our fellow LAN OC community.
I'm not currently looking for a new job, but if someone posted something that seemed interesting to me, i might look into it. It's never a bad thing to have options in life and work!

I saw you walk in, but i wasn't sure it was you and i didn't wanna walk up to a stranger and say "are you technobear?" and them just look at me odd...
You were in there for a while. Must've been lots to talk about!
No problem. Helping out friend in the community and finding a good worker for my company is a double win for me! :woohoo:

yup that was me in the blue shirt. ya i interviewed separately with three different guys. I dont know how it went. What he said is their salary range wasnt what i had in mind but im not going to pass judgement until/if they make an offer. Sometimes people throw a low number just to see if the interviewee is interested in anything.. *shrug*

Well you have to remember you work for the bank, and we don't print our own money. We typically get annual bonuses and really good healthcare, a 100% 401K match up to 4%, and a employee stock ownership plan. So the overall package is pretty good, but i'm sure they try to start you low and then make you talk them up on the pay. who knows...

well see.. all of that sounds good and will definetly factor.. where im at now we havent had a raise in 2 years and wont expect one for 2 more due to economy.. for all i know your health is better than mine. i wont be able to compare until they make an offer.

honestly if paycheck size wasnt so important id do it hands down.. it sounds like a great job and an excellent stepping stone..

i just have to wait to see. ultimately if i cant swing my bills at the end of the month i cant do it..

knwo what i mean?

If you look @ entry level IT, that's pretty much what it pays. Plus most businesses will start you out low and make you prove you're worth paying more for & make you request it as he said. For the past several years my company has not been giving raises to over half of the employees, the other half hands down earned it.
